STICK training course at National Museum of Flight

Did you know that every year (since 2006) National Museums Scotland have run free knowledge exchange workshops for museum professionals in the Scottish sector? And have you heard that that in this time over 500 people have taken part in these workshops, which have ranged from topics such as Pest Management to caring for Silver collections?

No? Well now's your chance to get involved. STICK and National Museums Scotland are jointly running a free knowledge exchange course in November, entitled 'Working with Large Objects'. This workshop will be held at the National Museum of Flight in East Fortune and will focus specifically on those unusually big things you might have in your museum stores (or on display!) and the policy and collections management issues surrounding them.  Topics will include effective curation, storage, movement and places to go for further advice.

Speakers come from a range of STICK organisations and there will also be a chance for networking and discussion in the afternoon.
