Women in Science

March is Women in History month and I've been reading this great blog from the Science Museum about Women in Science. 

The theme for 2011 is equal access to education, training and science and technology and it is interesting reading the posts as both a woman and a curator.  Do STICK's various transport and industry collections accurately reflect the role of women in Scottish science and industry?  Do we need to be more proactive in collecting to reflect women in science?  Perhaps more importantly, are we providing equal access to the opportunities for learning about science and technology that our collections provide? 

Is gender relevant?
