Today is an exciting day at the Museum of the Scottish Shale Oil Industry in Livingston as we have just taken delivery of the first batch of Scottish Shale Oil Industry records which have been transferred on long term loan from the BP Archive.
The move means that the historical records, which have been housed by the BP Archive at the University of Warwick for more than a decade, join the Scottish Shale Oil Industry Collection cared for by the Museum and will be much more accessible to Scottish researchers.
As it will take us a bit of time to be in a position to allow full access to the archive, we are not publicly announcing the move just yet but wanted to share this exciting news with STICK.
