Scottish Coal Collections Group Conference

The Scottish Coal Collections Group is holding the 3rd annual conference of the Scottish Coal Collections Group.

Gothenburgs, Galas and Goals: Intangible Aspects of Coal Mining Heritage 

It will be held at the National Mining Museum Scotland, Newtongrange, on November 18th, 2011.

Speakers include: Richard McBrearty, curator of the Scottish Football Museum, and renowned poet, Rab Wilson.  The full programme can be downloaded here.

Entrance to the Conference will cost £1 to cover tea and coffee. Lunch is not provided, but can be purchased at the Museum Café or in the village of Newtongrange. You may bring a packed lunch if you prefer.
